Dance of Night

Night’s music is bittersweet

tomorrow remains unpromised

Earth faces moon – all constant,

she turns her back in waves

stars observe, purr, and kiss

long-dead stellar corpses crooning

then putative silence – all vapor,

all dew upon a spider’s web.
