Justice for the Body
I heard somebody
was criticizing
my body..
Can anybody give me
A fair reason
For this treason
But nobody
answered me
When I was thin
they said I wasn’t slim
but skinny
as I’d been skinned..
a skeleton
The nouns were common
but felt uncommon…
When I was chubby
they wondered if
I could find a hubby
and lectured me
about a sexy body…
I listened to everybody
Now they say
‘Hey buddy
look at your body
the shape is fine
but eat well when you dine
Body isn’t divine.
Listen to nobody
Ordered my body…
